Create a batch with a shorcut with Linux

Hello,

I work from my Ubuntu distribution (Xubuntu), and then I've installed JDarkRoom to comfortably write my books with.

I always take some time to remember how to create a batch file, make executable and then launch it from the desktop, so I can launch my application by clicking on the batch file, well here is how I did it:


  1. Create a batch file called start_editor.sh and save it in the desktop.
  2. In the batch file I've put the following code: java -jar /home/myUserName/MyInstallationFolderName/JDarkRoom.jar
  3. Then I've made the batch file executable like this: chmod 0755 start_editor.sh opening a terminal session and going to the Desktop folder
Well, that's all, now I open my application by simply clicking on the batch file placed in my desktop.

My Dolce Gusto coffee machine started leaking without even plugin in to the socket. Water was leaking at the base, the tank would get completely empty in a few seconds, so I dismounted the back cover to see. Root Nook Simple Touch with updated NookManager

I have just rooted my Nook Simple Touch and it works really well. The screen quality is better than some other android readers which are really expensive on the market. After rooting everything flows and works fine, even browsing with Opera Mini. How to Change the Gear Shift Knob of the Peugeot 306

Well, last week the gear shift knob of my car got teared down in my hand as I was driving as you can see it in the picture. It was so really broken that the official knob from Peugeot would not fit anymore. The good thing about it is that now I can replace it by a nice one. But it was a real pain to figure out how to dismount it, the main thing is to lift up the leather bag around it first, from the bottom and then turn the knob twice to the left and then pull from it till it comes off . As you can see the white base support was broken too, so I had to dismount the whole thing and look for an universal knob to replace it. Well here is the gear shift itself all alone, I had to stick around it a piece of plastic and then tighten it up with a wire (I did this with my pliers to hold it tight), so that the leather bag will not move down later. Here is the new knob, it has a nice fairy on it, well, I know you are smiling :) but it was the only one in the store one that fitted
